Privacy Policy
Last Here works entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, store, sell or share any of your personal data.
Summary
- No account, no server, no analytics and no third-party SDKs.
- Your photos and location never leave your device.
- No advertising and no tracking across apps or websites.
Information the app uses
Photo library
With your permission, Last Here reads the date and location metadata of photos in your library to find the ones taken near where you are. To respond instantly, it keeps a small index of photo identifiers, dates and coordinates on your device. It never copies, modifies or uploads your photos.
If you grant limited access, Last Here can only see the photos you selected.
Location
Your location is used only while the app is open, to search your own photos. It is not stored, not tracked in the background and never shared.
After you take a photo, your current location is sent once to Apple's geocoding service (the same service used by Apple Maps) to turn it into a city name for the optional watermark. Last Here itself does not store or receive it.
iCloud Sync (optional, off by default)
If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, Last Here stores the date you started using the app in your private iCloud account, so your places come back on a new device. It is handled by Apple and is never sent to us. Photos, locations and the photo index are not synced.
Purchases (Last Here Pro)
Last Here Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Payment and your Apple Account are handled entirely by Apple; Last Here only receives a confirmation from Apple, checked on your iPhone, that you own Pro. We never see your payment details or who you are.
Camera
The camera is used so you can take photos. Photos you take are saved to your Photos library with their location, just like the system Camera app.
Data collection and sharing
Last Here does not collect any data. Because nothing is sent to us, we have nothing to share with third parties, advertisers or data brokers.
Data retention and deletion
The on-device photo index is stored only in the app's private storage. Deleting Last Here removes it completely. Your photos remain in your Photos library and are managed by you.
Your choices
You can change or revoke access to Photos, Location and Camera at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security on your iPhone. The app keeps working with whatever access you choose to give.
Children's privacy
Last Here does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and revise the effective date above.
